I just pulled off my cuda's trunk lid and noticed there was rust on the inside where I could not get a sander. What is the remedy to get rid of this rust. Find a place that can dip it?

Thanks

Dave

Dipping would be the best...Being a garage kept California car it probably is more surface rust than anything to be seriously concerned about....That being the case look it over good & you could probably get away with pouring Rust-Bullet into the openings & rotate the decklid around so everything gets a good coating...

What i would do is buy a product to kill rust such as rust bullet. Then buy a wand that you stick down in the hole and it sprays the product 360* around and it will cover it. But the surface rust i dont think that it will be needed to do that...

I use the Must for rust on my entire car. It's a water based product that you can get from home depot. Works great, envro friendly and you don't get the build up like you get from rust bullet or the like.

This space left intentianlly blank.

if it's a mint lid, I would send it out to get dipped/stripped...that stuff seams to flow everywhere..

That's what I leaning towards. Right now I am just removing the surface rust and will coat it with epoxy primer. When I get the doors and fenders pulled at a later date I will bring everything down to a stripper in Santa Ana.
