Rhodes hydraulic lifters sound like solids.

I have a comp cam and lifters in my car. They also do the same thing on start up. Its usually only one or maybe two. I think the lifters that are on the high part of the cam lobe bleed off while the car sits. They also get a little noisy when the engine is completely hot. Almost sounds like a solid lifter cam.

Funny ,but after visiting a number of forums,I've come across a number of complaints related to noisy cc hydraulic lifters and how people have tried to get rid of the noise unsucessfully and how they have finally decided to get rid of the cc-lifters and go to a different brand with good results.
I'm ready to install my xe268 but I'll be using non cc hydraulic lifters.

Try some marvel mystery oil or seafoam on the off chance there is sum gum or varnish causing a problem.Even if it doesent cure the problem you have eliminated a potential cause.
