Anybody have the torque spec for the castle nuts that hold the steering link and ball joint links on a 62 Dart manual steering? I looked high and low on the internet and no luck on a 62.

Time to go racing!

should be the same as a 62 plymouth B body. according to my FSM that is 40ft-lbs [max] for the idler arm and steering gear [pitman] arm stud to center link, and 40ft-lbs [max] for the tie rod ends to center link and lower ball joint/steering arm. upper ball joint studs to spindle are 100ft-lbs. the lower ball joint to lower control arm are 100ft-lbs also. the lower bolts holding the steering link [lower ball joint] to the spindle is 120ft-lbs.

i just love 62 darts ! up i always said i would like to own one some day, but that isn't likely, since i got to finish my 33 dodge humpback panel truck first, and get my charger back out & see what damage the red squirrel did to the dash wiring. i need another 3/4 of a life time at least.......
