In the Dart. One of the very rare days we have day racing with D/A around 1000', 77* 39% humidity the Dart went 5.31 @ 131 both new bests and not 60' very hard.

Had some killer air come evening race -400 D/A 55% humidity ran 5.306@ 131 still not 60', best 60' all day was a 1.22 , I gotta work on that...

gotta think if I can get the 1.1x 60's back would have the 5.2x I'm shootin' for!!

I love new bests! Congratulations.

I always say, you have to get out and race to take advantage of the good air days. But around here I am thinking of 50 degrees.

How much change with density does your alky system show? I am understanding that a gas carb might show 0.3 change (1/4 mile ET) through out the year (60-95 degrees), but an alky system will show less.

It is hard to say Jim as I have not really analyzed the data but from memory I will say I lose .1 - .2 from summer to winter. Both combos I'm running now are new with only 3-4 times out, and some tuning issues as expected.
I have lots of data for my old combos.
A normal spring/summer race here is high 80's low 90's with 75%+ humidity, Dart would run 5.46-7 in the heat, often with 130*+ track temps average d/a around 2600'. Come evening humidity goes up, dew comes in but cooler track results in many breakout runs. Dart would gradually pickup to 5.43 - 4
555ci when in my dragster was similiar, 4.82 would be the slowest in the heat/humidity, come evening it could pickup .02-3
Watching weather here is extremely critical as huge pockets of moist air of the gulf or atlantic can roll across the state at any time.
I learned a few years ago a lil' local trick called dialing off the street lights!

Congrats on the new bests. Always nice feather in the cap for sure. That should make for a nice S/G package. Wish the weather would give us a break so I could just get out there.

That`s great and I`ve always loved your car. One of the more unique ones on here and one of the fastest.

funny you say that as I learned some good lessons last nite.
I feel it is harder to run S/gas in 1/8th mile then it is in 1/4.
IMO, it closely mirrors bracket racing, ie, 1/8th mile being more difficult as everything happens quicker, mistakes are magnified, etc.
Ie, I can usually get 9.90 in 3 shots, with 4 shots last nite closest I came was 6.425.
Although it was an unusual day/nite dble header with over 1400' drop in D/A
