My friend dropped of a block and a few parts for me to advertise. Its a nice looking 383 block and Id like to know what it came out of and approximate value.
Part #2468180-7
Cast date 10-15-69
F 383
11 4 2
HP

Pad #0E119887

No rust, old orange paint, all main caps present, bore is lightly used at .030, no apparent damage. Was removed to put a 440 in.

Minimal unless the car still exist and then not a lot, should probably put it in the WIW section.

It came out of a 1970 B-body high performance Plymouth or Dodge produced at the Los Angeles plant. It was probably delivered in late November 1969 within a couple of weeks after the engine assembly date (11/4/69). The block is worth a couple hundred dollars but maybe a couple hundred more to someone who is looking for that date and a couple hundred more than that if it has a good original forged crank with it

I agree . Anyone with a 1970 N code car built around mid to late Nov. would love to have it . If you don't have the numbers-matching engine , a correct dated HP block is the next best thing .

From a 1970 Challenger R/T - JS23N0E119887 but I do not know where the car is or who owns it.

My mistake...I thought only B-body and A-body cars were made in LA? Good thing is the car exists somewhere? Maybe that block can be reunited with the car.

LA made B-bodies all year for '70.

E-bodies until sometime in May.

After that they made A bodies also.

I'd take it. Heck, I'd even buy you lunch.

I gave you info to my friend, he vaguely remembers an orange Challenger a friend had many years ago. I ported a set of 906s for that guy back when 300 CFM was a big deal, boy have things changed! Thank you all for the input, we'll have to put a price on and get it sold or find some pistons and build it!
