Went to the season opener T&T at Darlington Dragway last night, Really nice place, new owners, LOTS of upgrades! First pass off the trailer was 8.96 at 150.6 mph. New best mph! 2nd pass I took a tenth out of the timer for the nitrous...turning it on .2 sec out. It carried the front wheels almost 2' up for probably 200 feet. 8.91 at 150.5 mph, 5.68 at 122.1 mph 1/8 mile. The guy in the gutted, backhalf, fiberglass, lexan windowed, big tire, big hood scoop '69 Camaro was not expecting me to come by him on 2 wheels. After that the track turned yellow from all the pollen. My next pass it spun the tires bad. Track was crowded, so I loaded it up and came home. B/t an engine diaper and a parachute, I guess most of my racing budget is going towards safety stuff this year. It was a good night!

Nice passes.. thats the exact time and MPH I was doing... now the safety part of it cost... but one good thing... you only have to have the chute.. doesnt say you have to deploy it

Thanks yall! I really appreciate it. I've come a long way w/ this car, that's for sure. Here's a shot I took after I got back from teching in. Was putting a fresh set of plugs in. No, that's not the Camaro I outran.

1967Dartgt...Not real close, no. I think it may be dropping about 800 rpm on the shift, but not 100% sure. I really need a gopro to mount in the car.

way to go! When you buy a chute get a Stroud--call them and talk to Mr Stroud--get his advice on size and mounting etc--they open soft and are the easiest to pack by Far! Mounting a chute is CRITICAL to prevent disaster--learn to pack it with confidence--leave it un-packed when not in use--that way it will work when you really need it. We have a couple of events planned at the new Darlington this season--can't wait!
