Wondering what body work fillers you guys use for general body work?? Tried to search for it and found nothing?? I searched summit and found about 50 different options but no real descriptive differences?? I live in the Northwest so not sure if high moisture/humidity has any thing to do with the choice but thought it might?

Evercoat Quantum 1. It's a hybrid polyester/epoxy filler. Sands great, and will go direct to metal with no worries. Everyone will likely advise against it, but I've had it on several vehicles for 5-6 years now with absolutely no problems.

Rage Gold Ultra is really good. Using good quality epoxy over bare metal is the way I prefer to do it.

Evercoat Rage Gold Premium for filler on steel, Evercoat 2 part glazing putty for light skim coating over 2K primer, and Evercoat Metal to Metal for potmetal, and USC polyester filler for fiberglass panel repair/filler, generally I prefer an acid etchant in surfacer like Dupont Vari-Prime rather than Epoxy coat, but either one is needed for a quality/long lasting restoration I have been hearing alot of good voices for the evercoat filler. I am doing the body work in my garage by myself. My question about the epoxy primer is this-is there a good brand of epoxy primer that is available in a spray paint can ? I am not looking to paint the whole car in rattle cans but would like to at least paint/seal the areas I am working on until the whole car gets shot with a gun.

A "true" Epoxy Primer in a spray can is a tough one, the only source that might possibly be able to do that for you is Tower Paint in Wisconsin www.apstowerpaint.com they have a true 2 chamber spray can that mixes and sprays the catalyzed paint when needed, they do mail order/email orders, I've used them in the past for special paint mixes/matching in spray can form with excellent results Mike

That looks like a really nice set up^^. I was not very clear in the question but I am wondering if there is a good over the counter spray paint primer that I can use to seal the metal that I am working until I am ready to shoot the whole car at once with a gun. I am currently working on the right rear quarter of the car and am getting some creases out of the quarter before I cut some rust out of it and weld in new metal. I was at Napa today and saw a couple different aerosol primers I thought might work? I saw a SEM metal etching primer and also a Martin Senour etching primer brand (napa house brand?). I know I would not want to prime the whole car with these before I paint it but I would assume they would be ok to cover the metal/areas I have applied filler to until I paint the car?? Any one have experience with these?

For small primer work to seal bare metal spots buy a disposable Preval sprayer at the hardware store and use it to apply whatever primer system you want. Easy to use with very little overspray.
Reducer used in the good two part paint and primers will lift any rattle can paint that doesn't have a hardner in it. Then you have to strip it all back down and start over.

For small bare metal breaks I use Martin Senour 7220 etch primer in a spray bomb. Great stuff for spot work.

I use rage ultra, was hard to pay 30 plus more on a gallon compared to what I used to spend... but the time it saves in sanding is more than worth it.

I like Rage Gold as well but it's getting tougher to pay for it and like ice cream, you don't even get a gallon anymore. As far as the epoxy primer goes, do yourself a favor and put the rattle can idea out of your mind. Get a gallon of SPI epoxy and an inexpensive Vapor gun from Northern Tool and prime away. When it comes time to work on that section there will be no need to strip it off (or concern yourself with a sub standard base). Scuff sand it, apply another coat of epoxy and be on your way. http://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200319457_200319457
