I am converting my factory dual point to pertronix and I am going to use there coil. Can I use the repro date coded wires or should I get a set of taylors? If I remember right they do not recommend using the repro wires with electronic ignition.

I'm running a Pertronix in a dual point and a factory coil with repro wires. Works fine. You may want to ask whoever is making that recommendation, why?

I think when I bought the repro wires a while back there was something in the instruction sheet about not recommended for electronic ignition. I know it will run, but how intense is the spark going to be?

Not sure about that, but mine has no problems lighting the tires up at will. Maybe it isn't running at max potential, but I'm not racing it either.

I'd definitely be interested in knowing if there is a serious performance drop.
