In that case definitely hang loose & wait for more input. If I was going to spring for a new carb I would want one that has all of the systems adjustable so it can be dialed in spot on (with the LM1)

The Street Demons are the best street carbs out there, in my opinion. They are calibrated better than most and have features that none of their competitors have. Having said that, they are a pain to tune. And the parts are just about always mail order. I don't know of any place that stocks tuning parts and there aren't that many anyway. So if you into tuning to a razor's edge, something else might be the way to go. If, however, you want a carb that is the most likely to run good out of the box and have probably the best throttle response, then this is the carb for you.

Demon carbs and BG products in general were a real crap shoot when Barry Grant owned the company. Now that they are part of Holley I think they have gotten a lot better. Biggest issues people had were float bowls being full of crap. Pretty annoying on something you just plunked down your cash for.
With no converter and 3.23 gears a 750 should make you very happy.

I cannot speak from actual ownership. I have watched many of the youtube evaluations and advertisements of the Street Demon carbs and it seems this design is a superb STREET DAILY DRIVER high performance carburetor. The designer worked for Carter back in the day and with this carb was allowed to incorporate things to improve on 1970s tech. None of the evaluaters will say it but the street demon is obviously an improved version of the thermoquad. Id love to buy 2 of them for my future 360 dual quad motor but the street demons only come in 625 and 750cfm sizes and I simply want 2 500cfm`s which means ill go Edelbrock. http://www.mooregoodink.com/news/street-demon-an-interview-with-its-designer/
Keep old mopars alive.

Had a 750 vac one time. An old BG version and can attest to the crap in it. Basically pull it apart and flush the metal shavings and machining remnants out of the metering block and bowls it was fine. Poor QC but good carb.
