I have the qa1 drag r now which ext great but hard to compress which keeps my frt end up the whole track till I let off throttle. The car hook great and tracks straight I never even notice till I saw in car video.
I also have the reg qa1 which compress easier but aren't as easy on the ext but close. Am I wasting my time with this should I just leave is since it's runs a good number?

Drag "R" adjust rebound only, compression is fixed. I doubt if the shock is holding the car up the entire length of the track. Acceleration is pitching the car rearward. Jack the car up and release the jack and see how fast it comes down. Unless the shock is damaged it'll be pretty quick. The rebound setting will be the most important if the car isn't wheel standing as that controls the rate of front suspension lift.

By staying high in the front, you are maintaining your weight transfer. The shock won't keep the front end up unless it is binding. That is a factor of engine torque during the run. If it is not porpoising (up and down motion) I would probably leave it alone. You can try the other shocks and compare time slips and videos, since it won't cost anything but time. Might be a good learning experience.

No porpoising it runs good great et great mph. Somebody said I'm losing aerodynamics with frt end up. When I let off it comes down. I can compress shock by hand just harder then the reg one. I guess I'm looking for a phantom and should leave alone it hooks on drag radials anytime.

Try "bulldogging" the front suspension with some limiters to see the results. It may help, it may hurt.
My car did the same thing. it had cheap shocks. I limited the extension travel. It helped the top end (car was much more stable) but it killed the launch.
I put a decent d/a front shock on the car to stop the fast extension(and the resulting shock of the limiter) and everything improved greatly.

"use it 'till it breaks, replace as needed"

Where the car carries the front down the track is more a function of travel than the shocks. You have 5" of travel, that's close to where it will carry the nose.
