Anyone here ever deal with them? I'm looking at their small block 425 stroker kits, over the phone they said the cranks and rods are their own brand. I just want to avoid buying junk.

Every part MUST be measured no matter what name is on it. I don't run Chrysler bearings any more so I have brand new cranks turned to SBC LJ. Always measure the rods and correct if required.

The Ohio crank stuff is no different than anything else from China. It will work.

Unless you run Comp or Pro Stock.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I used one of their kits for a big block. The kit I bought is the 4.250 stroke for an RB block. The standard kit that they list specified 6.800 rods but I wanted 7.100 rods with a 1.48 compression height piston. They substituted the rods and pistons with no problem only a slight cost adjustment. When I was checking my clearances the mains were checking at .0044 so I called them up and they sent me a set of +.001 main bearings to bring the clearance to .0034 no charge. I had already had the kit for almost 2 years when I started assembly so I guess they could have told me I was out of luck but they took care of it with no problems. The other think that I liked about their kit is that the rods come standard with the ARP 2000 bolts as standard not an upgrade from 8740's like several other kits out there.

I started buying and using there forged steel stroker BB Mopar crankshafts back when they first started advertising in NHRA weekly National draster mag in 1999 or 2000 up I had them cut down there 4.150 stroke cranks with the standard Mopar rod journal sizes to BB Chevy 2.200 rod size and offset and increase the stroke to 4.250 on 3 Mopar RB and 3 B motor cranks. All of those motors are still running to day with no crank or rod problems boogie I have not used any of there SB Mopar cranks yet but I have bought one of thier forged steel SB Chevy 383 cranks and a 4.0 inch stroke cast Ford Windsor crank for my 1940 Ford Tudor deluxe street rod thumbs I have them grind the rods and mains to the sizes I want for the oil clearances I like, which is some what loose according to some of the supposided "experts" on here whistlingshruggy There are some people post on here "assuming" that any cheap stroker cranks under $700.00 must come from China as a forging and finished here, not so. I ask and was reassured several times by several different Ohio Cranksahft employees that all of thier forged cranks are made by Ohio Forge in Ohio and they custom finish those blanks as needed to the customers specs up I have not used any of there rods yet because when I first bought there cranks they weren't making rods or offering complete kits yet shruggy
My message is buy from them, thue sell good parts up

I have the 4" Ohio in my 414" lil' block. Nice piece and tolerances on all throws and mains were very good as I remember.

Bought a 500" stroker kit about 10 years ago. Everything was good to go. I hurt a couple of pistons a few years ago and they still had the specs on file to build me a couple replacements.

I would definitely buy from them again.

Master, again and still

I purchase a crank from them back in 94-95 and it was ordered as an4.25 stroke but when it arrived it had 4.15 stamp on it shruggy when I called about the stamping they assured that it was 4.25 confused, So when I had my engine builder measured it was 4.25 thumbs other than that all was Good still using that crank to-day.

That's my rule of thumb now, too.

Funny how on Moparts most of the Ohio Crank comments are positive, but on SpeedTalk it's mostly a bunch of horror stories about how the cranks aren't ground properly, etc. realcrazy

I'm a short drive from them, I have used them for machining services and as parts suppliers for years, have never had any issues I currently have their crank, rods, pistons in my Cuda and they machined my block and did the valve job on my heads
