Ok ,
I know I can run a 8" rim with a 275 tyre .
Can you run a 10" rim with a 275 or 10.5 wide tyre in the stock wheel well and stock width diff ? No spring relocation .
Or even with a 68 diff in a 64/65 B body ?
If so is it a 5.5" back space ?
thanks in advance ,

Tex

I ran 275/60R15 Radial T/As on 15x10 American Racing wheels in my '64 Polara.
I bought and mounted the wheels and tires first and took out the 8.75" rear. I got a Dana 60 and narrowed it to allow for the stock spring location and the back spacing of the wheels. I don't remember what the measurements were, but it all cleared nicely. I ran the 11.75" disc brakes in front and 10" drums in the rear with a non-power master cylinder. The first rear drums I used were the non-fin drums and when I went to the bigger finned drums, I ran into clearance problems with the leaf springs due to the size of the bell...I had to have the lip of the drums turned off to clear. The car now lives in the Chicago area...I sold it on e-Bay in 2010.

thanks guys .
If I go there it will be with a 1968 diff , maybe a 5/16" wider per side . I thought with this I would be able to use a 5.5BS 15x10 rim from a 1968 b body . As spring perch width is the same .

I ran a 285/45-18 in the back of my 65 Belvedere. There was contact on the outside a couple inches up from the opening. The outer wheel house rolls in from the quarter panel. A finely tuned BFH pushed it back out solved the problem.
There's a ton of room between the wheel house and quarter panel so no worries about visible dents.
