My motor has Ez-1 heads. Car is coming along, and about time to buy headers.
For some reason I've been thinking I had to buy a high dollar header for clearance issues.
Anybody have clearance issues with hooker super comp, hedman, etc?
Not trying to be cheap, but tti is high.
Thanks

The EZ-1 uses a standard port header so you are open to any that would fit your body style with any stock type head. So what is the engine going into so people will know what to recommend for your body style.

Well, high-dollar headers tend to have "fewer" clearance issues !! You can buy cheap headers and spend a week knocking dents in them OR you can shell out some coin and drop them in with minimal tweaking, if any.

The EZ heads have the angled plug like the Eddy RPM heads do so you just want to be sure what header you use will work with the angled plugs. Myself I use the TTI which I bought in the standard nickel coating and they were $691.00 about 5 years ago. I know Gus on here uses Doug's on his eng with EZ heads and as far as I know they fit and work fine on the EZ heads and Gus talks very highly of his Doug headers so I would say he is very pleased with them. I really like my TTI headers but I believe the Doug's are a little cheaper then the TTI's. I know the TTI's are good quality since I have them and from what I hear the Doug's are also good quality like the TTI's but myself I have not used the Doug's. Ron
