What's wrong with the great original design??
Having to find an original '65 model trans.........
That cable is designed to work with the pushbutton shifter and the later model trannys........
Hey Mike, I haven't used that particular cable, but I have used one of their sets of "original replacement" cables and, honestly, I wasn't impressed..........I'd get the shifter adjusted and it wouldn't repeat......Apparantly, the outer sleeve was compressing and stretching??? That may be fixed now, since that was one of the earlier sets they'd made.......

Ron: Yes, that is Finn's FAST car that I built last year. Well, seems as though someone else is thinking that the MW isn't so bad after all. So the "new" MW project is just about to get started. The floor shifter is a neat idea, but won't fly for FAST. I guess the search is on for a 65 unit, that is unless someone can give me some real world feedback on this early/late deal. MB

It's very similar to what Art Carr used to sell (don't know if they still do?). A buddy had one of the Art Carr units (chome) in his 65 Belveder I with a Hemi. But this was back before 1970.

This is just a suggestion, don't pass on a trunion big block case as all you need is the shaft and the tailhousing to make the conversion. That shaft and housing can come out of a 1965 Poly transmission.
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

Danny:
I am aware of that, however the tailhousings/shafts are seemingly as hard to find and as expensive as the entire unit!! The sad thing is that I sold off a bunch of this "junk" years ago. If I had it still, I would never need it.
