Well, as bracket racers do, we need to fix our junk after putting a bunch of laps on it......

And I had a flex plate come loose off the crank that pushed it into the thrust bearing....Damage wasn't too bad, but ened my cars season two races early. So I had to borrow a Hemi car for the last two races and enjoy the season doing wheelies...

Its amazing how many parts actually have to be replaced every season....A HUGE thanks to Farley's Racing Engines!!!!!

-Spray welded the crank & re-cut it
Three rocker arms
-All the bearings
-New rocker shafts
-New rings
-New valves
-Fixed the oil pan
-Ported the intake
-Ported the intake ports on the heads
-Re-cut the valve seats
-Re-cut the new valves to match
-Re-re-welded the headers
-New damper
-New lower crank pulley
-New Flex plate & bolts
-Even the alternator pulley spacer was toast

And if that wasn't enough, I had to tow the car down there like it was a version of Ice road truckers...on the coldest day of the year (-4F) and pull it in thru about 8" of new snow....Anyone ever tow 10k in a snow storm.....Sucks.

Another neat little Engine the owner was building....392 +.030" and Hot heads heads...

Randy, I feel for you but I just can't reach... Just a another day here in the RR Valley of the north. Try towing at -35F. Last Thursday I couldn't see past the hood at times..... Just giving you a bad time though. Dave

Progress is a good thing however that SNOW, Damn it was 77+ degrees here today, and yesturday and the day before.......... Had to rub that in and would never even consider living where some of you guys do but at least you get some work done.......

You wouldnt be able to see the sticker on the flex plate if you put it engine side.

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics....I keep forgetting to take the camera down to the shop....Got another 10" of snow today. Gotta love "lake effect". We have a big indoor show coming up on March 4-6th I will be putting the car in....So it needed to get done. Hopefully pic it up tomorrow.

And yes, I really like the new Super Performance gaskets. We are not going back to regular ones on any of our race cars, and especially carburetors....I will get some more from you soon as the Hemi comes together......And I will also be ordering those Headman fender-well headers you suggested as soon as money allows. Saved them in my favorites. I like the looks of those, and mine are rough...They were rough years ago, and now they have been welded so many times, its amazing if they hold for a few races without another tube cracking.
