Hello. My question is what is different between a rally dash radio and or a standard dash radio? How can you tell the difference? Thanks. ozbbq

For 1970 they are different. The non rallye radio has nuts on the 2 knob shafts to tighten the radio to the dash frame whereas the rallye radio has 2 unique raised bosses with bolts for mounting.

ALL 1970 B body AM (and AM FM radios) are the same. Their is no diffrence between a rallye dash or non rallye . They all use mounting bolts on the front . Trust me, I have handled more 2884752 (and 2884753)radios than anyone on the planet (just finished converting one to 180 watt stereo just moments ago as a matter of fact) The 70 AM was manufactured by both Bendix and Phillips, but I can assure you , none had threaded knob shaft protrusions .
Here is one for refrence ....

I Agree! I'm gonna send mine to him for a tune up in the near future.
Karl- stop by and check my radio out- I installed a Redi-Rad. You wouldn't believe how good it sounds!
