I'm in the process of converting my '71 Challenger with a 318 to a (stock '72 block) 340. As I was removing things from the engine bay, I notice what appears to be a tiny pinhole leak in the (22 inch) radiator. I obviously need to do something about it, but not sure what? I'd love to convert to 26 inch, but that's a lot of work for what I'm planning to do with the car for now. There doesn't seem to be any original repro radiators out there, only aftermarket and I'm not sure if the aftermarket ones will accept the fan shroud brackets? Another option is to shipping my original off for restoration.

What has anyone here done in similar situations? I'm all ears!

Thanks!

A radiator shop can re-core it.

If you want OE perfection check out http://www.restorationradiators.com/

22 inch 2 core stock radiator is not enough cooling capacity for a hot 340. /better to get more cooling capacity than you need now since your starting from scratch.if you stick with the 22 radiator get at least a 3 core. if you go with a 26 you will also have to open up the 22 inch support opening for air flow and improvise the mounting holes....
