I need new tires for my Charger, been running 29" Hoosier QTP.

Ive been looking at the Hoosier 30x9" bias-ply slicks. I cant fit 29x9" Mickey Thompson slicks because they are so wide side-side. Also I run 4.56 gears, so a 28" diam. tire wont work.

The Hoosier bias-ply slicks come in two different compounds, where one is softer (D5), the other firmer (D7), so which of the tires would be better?

My car weighs race ready 3891lbs. Cal-Tracks, AFCO DA chocks front/rear, etc...

I can/will not run a radial tire because the track i run at does not have the grip needed for a radial tire...

Thanks!
/Tom

I run the M/T 29X9 stiff sidewall slick on my car and they hook most anywhere I race.

Cant use the Phoenix slicks, the side-side is to wide, just like the M/T slicks!

Thanks!

M/T has radial slicks as well. Not sure on the dimension but might look at them if radial is a thought. Sounds like your decision is already made otherwise...

Is this in a '70 Charger? In my experience you can easily fit a 10.5 x 29 tire in there...do you have wheels with alot of backspace and you're hitting the spring?

The d05 is really soft and didn't work well for me on a hot greasy track. The d07's worked really well no matter what the prep was.
