At the track we changed from Avgas 100 to VP110 and the car (12.5-1 RB) ran identical numbers so we stayed with the cheaper . That doesn't mean anything....IF you didn't properly tune the engine on both fuels

I tried to get av gas here locally and was told no and in Vegas I was laughed at............WILL NOT sell to anyone w/out an aviation lic.

I'd run c12 in it...... And if I wanted a "big number", jet up 4-6 sizes and dump in some q16.

Nothing at all wrong with Av-gas, if you are worried about the octane get some Turbo 108 racing additive for it, the MMT enhances the lead content to raise octane even more. I add a large bottle to 55 gallons. C12 is a fine fuel, and if you do a little tuning VP113 is an lower cost oxygenated fuel that works well.

Non ethanol 91 octane. Not gonna pay $10 a gallon anymore.

To the OP...I'd use Avgas if I wanted to save money and was able to get it. If not, use C12.
