Im looking to replace the Hotchkis rear springs. No problem with the springs just looking for something stiffer, need 160 or better. also I want them flat not a lot of arch. Has anyone used the Afcos for an autox spring in an A body.

I believe there's a guy on FABO who uses them on his Duster. I forget his username but he posts quite often about them. He doesn't autocross, just more of spirited driving. Or, you could do what TomWheels did and buy a pair of helper springs from Summit for super cheap and bolt them onto your current leaf kit.

I recommend Flex-A-Form for their custom-made mono-leaf fiberglass leafs. Light-weight (saved ~40+ pounds total). I worked with them back in the late 80s... hi-competition SCCA autocross intended... you'll need to know your corner weights of the car as you'll primarily drive it... they can determine the uncompressed arch, and the average compressed arch as driven... for your intentions. my final result was 225#/5" arch (compressed to allow about a 1"-1.5" arch.. close to being flat. I compromised with some slight allowance of additional arch for my very limited "cruising" with some trunk items and full tank, etc (driving to a track with camping gear, etc.). After over 30 years I'm still satisfied... works great with my overall setup (1.24" diameter TBs, etc).

I don't recommend off-the-shelf leafs IF you truly want a desired setup. you need to know your corner weights as the first step, then you can determine what spring rate/arch/compression you want.

For ride control (track vs street/hwy), I recommend adjustable shocks, preferably such as the dbl-adj shocks from QA1, Viking, and some others. Single adj shocks are less costly, but will help the ride control to your liking.

I have a set of the 200# speedway springs. Haven't put em in yet. Look like a quality piece.
