i know you need an adapter to go from power to manual steering. but what is needed to go from manual to power steering? new column or can you move the coupler up on the steering shaft????


nitrous is like a really hot chick with an std you want to hit it but youre affraid of the outcome.

The splines on the coupler are a different size Manual vs power. The coupler has to be changed.

Also the power shaft is shorter. If you collapse the shaft to make it shorter it will not collapse in an accident.

I suggest a new column

I did this swap a few years back and As stated above you will need the coupler off of a power steering car along with the steering box. (Manual has a larger spline). I just changed out the steering shaft and retained my original column as the power shaft is about 3" shorter. You could also change the entire column.
