Hi Mike,
I didn't take my laptop with me to Vegas so unable to post any results. We actually had 7 cars in attendance, which was down from the year before. A lot of racers are waiting for engine projects to finish so were unable to attend. We left one car home, too. John Rains had to bow out when he spun the bearings in his new motor.
Jeggie drove Ogburn's Cuda and Jerry was in the HarCuda. We had great weather, an awesome track, lots of enthusiastic Mopar fans.
Julie,I was not putting down the shootout, and I didn't know that Jeggie drives for free.and the 7 cars at the gators only race for a wally.
I also don't look at marie's site to often, because of all the bashing that goes on. Gets real old real fast, for the amount of money that is put out on SS/AH cars nobody should be bashing anyone. and the Moparts site I don't see that going on. This is the best site on the internet for Mopar's These guys are great here.

Jody thank you for the pics and e.t from that race,I will post the e.t,but I will have to use michael adjusted e.ts. Just talked to charlie westcott, and it looks like he will miss Bella Rosa Shootout,Just ran his good motor on the dyno with all the good stuff, and it had a parts failure and now the block is hurt bad, so he would have to run the engine that he ran two years ago with the old setup. Its to late to build another new motor for Bella rose. So I guess we will have to see what happens.

Mike,
I'm sorry to hear that. We consider Charlie one of the great competitors in the SS/AH wars and our team always looks forward to running against him. Tell him to put his old motor in the car and come race. I'm sure he'll run just fine!
Julie, He had alot of time and R&D in that motor, getting good parts nowadays as you know is a real challenge. and he still has motors to build for customers.

Mike, Trust me, as the daughter of an engine builder, I know! Dad worked the last 6 months on "motor #4" and had it on the dyno a few weeks ago. No where near the hp readings he expects so back to the engine stand it went, torn apart, order new pistons, etc. He tried a bunch of new things and some worked, some didn't. Now it's kind of on the back burner because now that we started racing again, the cars need to be maintained/repaired between events. It's never ending!! Tell CW I sympathize. I'm sure it doesn't ease the strain on his mind and wallet, however!!

HEMI SHOOTOUT AT THE MATS adjusted e.t altitude on satuday was over 3300ft as I understand from the owner of west coast hemis team Michael Ogburn you take Actual e.t and NHRA factor of .9757 to get adjusted e.t. Example. 8.80 actual e.t .9757 Nhra Factor =8.59 Adjusted e.t So this is the quickest field of Hemis so far this year 2006.All e.t below have been adjusted. 1.Jeggie------------ 8.59 winner-SS.AH 2.Jerry Jenkins------8.61 ru-----SS/AH 3.Mark V------------8.69--------SS/AH 4.John Percy--------8.72--------SS/AA 5.Bob Mazz----------8.76--------SS/AH 6.John Rains--------8.82 spun bearing on run.AH 7.Norm Scott--------8.94--------SS/AA So it looks like Bella Rose is going to have a super fast field of cars. Thanks to Michael Ogburn for this info. Thank you Juile for the correction.

Mike ~ Ogburn is close but a little off (well we know HE is a lot off but that's another topic!! ). The altitude conversion factor for Vegas is .9757. Thus, Jeggie's run equates to an 8.59. All the altitude correction factors are listed on the NHRA website.

4.John Percy--------8.72--------SS/BA This car is now an SS/AA car. Now that the Cudas and Darts moved out he is running in AA with the Vettes. BTW nice car and plenty of power by you know who Check the attachment. I talked to Mr Percy at length. Very nice guy and his car is a piece of artwork in my book. Of course the one in the other lane aint bad either
