This is pretty cool right here;

When we found out about Lee Quinones' 1965 Dodge Coronet, the discovery came with a treasure trove of interesting tips which had fortunately been photographically documented by the owner. Among them were some impressive feats of fabrication and acquisition. Rarely have we seen such talent, ingenuity, and effort expended in a homegrown effort. We hold Lee Quinones' work up for all to see, and hope you'll be inspired to do something just as crafty.

Nice article. Well deserved, your weight loss program is over the top. I do have to say that 2 piece Indy cast valley plate has got go, I'll bet there's more than a pound there.
Congrats Doug

Congratulations Lee! That's a great article. I had no idea of the lightweight efforts that went into your car. Always loved the name "Brooklyn Dodges". I bet there's a business wrapped up in all of this. I can't be the only one that is interested in light weight suspension parts, steering wheels, etc... Good luck with the car. Tommy

Wow.

I've been mulling on how I can make an entrance into this one.LOL.
Thank you much guys.
It's a pleasure to be amongst a bunch of other cool and avante- garde mopar creations here.

It was especially a great pleasure to have conversation with Steve Magnante over this madness. He gets it as well.
He's a very knowledgeable guy and one can easily slip into the abyss of Mopar history with such a cat.
Hope the read is fun and fact for most just breaching the velvet ropes of this club.

Yeah, hopefully the print will have more info on those Pesky fellow "Brooklyn Dodges" race mates of mine.
RMCHRGR gets the Pulitzer prize for breaking the story on this one. LOL

Wasn't sure if it was cool to post this, thought you might have wanted to do your own reveal but it was too cool to pass up. It's a great article, you should be proud.

I was not looking for the article actually. I stumbled on it doing a search for "Tom Hoover, Coronet". Pretty wild how your car comes up in that search!

Steve Mags is pretty cool. He has been into the lightweight stuff for a while. Put him in a room with Steve K. and your head might explode with Mopar minutiae.

Glad you broke it since I was a little weird about doing it myself at first.
Actually as you may have been posting, I was not even aware of it till a friend who has nothing to do with drag racing, but used to race aluminum rally cars in Europe sent me the Hot Rod Mopar Muscle post.

6ix degrees of non-seperation I guess. LOL.
Glad that some publications are daring to print good stories to keep us planted.

P-body. You're right, I should cut those 3" front studs off.
Some people have mistaken them for the shredding spikes off of Charlton Heston's chariot in Ben Hurr. LOL.

Thank you.
