Do any of you watch other forms of racing.. I'm sitting here watching drag boat racing at Wild Horse Pass.. some bad asss boats... I also watch a lot of dirt bike racing.. and when I can find it I watch ice racing on bikes... just curious of what you other guys/girls watch... I was wondering if they have any of the drag boats races down here in Texas

Flat track motorcycles, dirt sprint's,dirt stock cars,,I grew up around all of them.
Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

I watch the AMA Supercross & AMA Motocross series on live broadcast regularly, plus I follow the MotoGP and MXGP series results closely. I was way more involved in motorcycle racing years ago than I was ever in drag racing. I'll be blunt: I don't even look for NHRA Pro races or results any more. I can't relate to the NHRA Pro classes at all now and the only car-racing related show I bother watching is... Street Outlaws. Hey, it is what it is.

I built a 16' Old Town canoe that I hung 2 10hp Merc's on.. it was quick in the straights but it sure didnt like to turn

I got into hover crafts for a few years.. my brother and I both had one.. I changed the single cyl 26 hp engine that was on it stock and I mounted a 440 dual carb engine on it.. my brother couldnt touch it with his 440 single carb.. but I changed the pitch on the blades so it moved more air.. his was fixed pitch.. I tried to organize some hover craft racing out on the ice in Mich but hoover crafts never caught on up there... people loved watching us race around a course we set up and they had a ton of questions about them but as I said... it never caught on .. I ended up putting that 26 hp Rotex engine on a little home made 3 wheeler that I built.. it would run about 70 mph(had it clocked with a speed gun).. the hover craft would run 73 MPH in no wind conditions.. just a few of the odd ball toys I built for fun

I'll watch just about anything in person with an engine. TV doesn't do much for me, regardless what it is. Of course, drag racing is what I do, but winged sprints are cool. Truck and tractor pulling are fun, too. Drag racing, dirt oval and pulling are all big around here. There's plenty to go see close by. I just haven't had time to go in recent years. Lately, the only thing I've had to watch is the neighbor kids ripping around on their 4 wheelers. Maybe this summer I'll get out more.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Nope. My racing attention span is too short for anything but drags and, then, only heads up racing. Boats use a rolling start so they don't interest me.

If I had to do it over again, I think I would get more involved in open wheel sprint car stuff.

I like the TORC, LOORS, BITD and Stadium Supertruck races. TO me it is the most door to door, rubbing is racing form of motorsport these days. Next is the Australian V8 Supercars, those guys go for the gusto too.

MX GP for me, i can't get AMA, otherwise i'd watch that as well. I still watch amateur mx and go to the odd GP. I also watch twin shock MX as that was part of my racing era. Mick
