I recently purchased an original edelbrock d66 dual quad intake for a 340 small block.
I'm looking for some info on this particular intake, like when were they made and in what kind of application were they used. How rare is such an intake?
Could I use this on a stroker 360 I'm planning?

I am envious. I wanted a D66 but they are few and far between so I bought a brand new Offenhauser for my dual quad 360 project. Im pretty sure the D66 operates between 1000 RPM to 6000 plus RPM on a 340/360. I think Edelbrock quit making them in the late 1970s. Dual quads really add appeal to any mopar. The sound of 2 carbs gettin it on is fun too.

So it could work on a 360 stroker?
What kind of carbs could I use. It would be in a street driven 70 challenger with a four speed and 3.23 gears.

Im dissappointed you are not getting more replies. Ill tell you what I know. I had 2 440s with the Edelbrock 2x4 setup. I ran 2 500 eddy carbs. I loved it. Dual plane dual quad fits under the hood with wide powerband. There are single plane manifolds that will make more peak hp and the Perf RPM is probably a little better in power all around than your D66. However, your manifold is still a fantastic choice. Run 2 500cfm carbs. If you have a nice cam ,headers and converter run a direct linkage. If you have a mild build- experiment with a progressive linkage. You said your engine was a stroker? Run 2 500s with a direct linkage. Can you post a pic of your manifold? Even though I have a brand new Offy Id still like a D66. My Offy is a single plane and the D66 is a dual lane- The modern edelbrock oval dual carb air cleaner will fit your set up too. Dual carbs make a magnificent engine even better!

here's a pic of it. I haven't build the engine yet, just gathering parts. I've allready got a 360 with a pair of genuine T/A heads including the valvetrain, but I'm not sure if I'm going use those.
