Here is what I put in mine from Hughes .544 lift with 1.6 rockers 218/228 duration 110 lobe separation
Very nice street cam with about a 2400 stall. The car turns 12.95 and weighs 4200 lbs. 3.55 gears btw.

What intake?
What carb?
How do you want it to behave idle and HP wise? OD or 3 spd auto?
I like single pattern with the magnum heads unless you want to roughen up the idle for no good reason.
Lift and duration gonna depend on a lot of things not mentioned yet.

You are talking hydraulic roller, right? IMHO it'll work just fine. I believe the stock 5.9 hydraulic roller has 114 or 115 LSA and increasing the duration that much will limit the amount the LSA can be narrowed. That will work in your favor, reducing overlap which will tame the idle and off-idle roughness, allowing a lower stall speed converter to work just fine. It will sacrifice a little midrange torque over my choice of the narrower LSA but probably work better in daily driving.

Should be fine. I'm running a 222/228, 107 lsa installed at 104 (whiplash cam). Lots of torque, good drivability, chops at idle, but only has 9" of vacuum.
My vacuum booster hasn't complained and I have plenty of power assist available.
Made 285 rwhp through a manual trans with stock heads. Pushed my 4000 lb truck to traction limited 14.5s at 99 mph.

Would 218 degrees at .050 lift be too much for a 2400 stall torque converter and 3.21 rear gears? This will be a regrind from Delta or Oregon cams. Tight budget. Yes, single pattern and 110 LSA almost the exact cam I use in most of my street builds, had one in a 1/2 ton 4x4 with 3.21s and it was ok with the stock converter, a little more stall, little shorter tire and a whole lot less weight should be awesome. I have delta re-grind mine
