Here is a shot of the dashbar taken through the glovebox opening. I can measure the distance of it to the firewall if you have some A/C unit dimensions, I am interested in A/C eventually myself. Thanks for the pic, in research phase of AC/heat systems now. Really mostly to get windshield to defog properly and AC would probably be nice on drag week. I remember going late rounds in the roadrunner at night and windshield would fog if big drop in temp like that year at Norwalk running till wee hours. Hry Quick, I remember that weekend,,,all too well, I was in the next to last pair when they called it for the night,,don't want to do that again!

looking at the rear end pictures, can you run this rear suspension with all of those spacers between the housing and the springs? Or is that just for mock up in place of the car weight being on them? Jerry

There are some extremely fast radial leaf cars running on 2 inch lowering blocks but yes its part of the adjustability. Will probably pull one or two out at final race weight to get ride height I want. They are 1/2 inch each.

Looks good, if I had a bead roller I would've done the same. My wiper mount doubles as an anti "oilcannin" device for the firewall.

Nice work!!!!!! You have given me ideas I can use on my own car. You know the dangers of welding and using chlorinated brake clean? Read somewhere where a guy was welding aluminum . Hit a small puddle of brake clean and inhaled it. Lost 40 percent of his lung capacity. Matt

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'm plugging along and enjoying this build. The brake clean was back in the cabinet before I fire up the welder, was just wiping the oil off the new piece of sheet metal. Sorry Bob, this one is going to be my keeper!

Do not weld on any metal that you sprayed Brake Clean on..
1.33 60 ft,6.21 at 110.59 in the 1/8, pump gas small block,2950lbs,drag radials,mufflers and driven to track ...

Thanks guys, I dont know how I have managed to never hear or read about this! Did some research and scared the hell out of me! Thankfully that was the first piece I did with the brake cleaner and it is not my usual routine. It was just handy on the bench. The piece sat for a day or two after I cleaned it before I welded it in the car and it was wiped completely dry wit ha clean rag. I always turn on the garage ventilation system before I weld too so hopefully I'm ok.
