Ok guys 4.7 freeze plug has a hole in the middle of it can't really get to it easy...it's the 1 on the side of the block under the heads ..what size is it and do the make those screw in type...can't really see a good way to get a regular 1 in there from the bottom don't want to have to pull it ..thanks

They make the rubber expandable type but I would not leave it as a permanent fix.

i replaced all the freeze plugs in a 2000 durango 4.7 and they were 1 3/8,someone had put rubber 1 1/4 in it and they blew out!i used a hole saw to get access under a motor mount,i used the copper/brass plugs with the expanding nut in the middle,they work excellant but are not real easy to find


my ladder of success is missing some rungs

My advise would be to pull it out and replace them all. The coolant hasn't been taken care of so others are going to be rotted out as well.

Ditto, I did the hole saw trick on my buddy's, replaced one and about 3 months later, another one started leaking, had to pull it and replace them all.
