I have a 360 going into a 63 Valiant convert. I also have a lock up 904 with converter from a 318 82-84 Diplomat. Can I use the converter from the Diplomat with a regular 360 flexplate, or do I need to use the B&M plate that is balanced?

i am pretty sure that the convertor will not work cause it doesn't have the weight on it. i think the flex plates are the same just the weight on the convertor i think that you will need to have that flex plate from b&m or i think that mopar might offer a weight and locating kit for that convertor. once again not 100% sure but someone out there i am sure is just my

Get the B&M flex plate made for a external balance 360. They are made with a weight compensating cut out. OEM the weights are on the converter, not the flexplate. Using the B&M plate you DO NOT use, need, or want the weighted converter.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

If I get the B&M flexplate, can I use the 318 converter? Is the 318 TC weighted?

Yes use the 318 converter with a B&M plate, no a 318 converter is not weighted. With a B&M plate you don't want a weighted converter.
