It depends Which brand and material and application, which type of block, Aluminum or iron I have seen guys run as much as .0115 and as tight as .0045 on the old TRW/Speed Pro forged high compression racing pistons that mopar recommended using .008 or higher Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
