have buddy that has a 70 cuda drag car someone removed the trunk lid hinges and rods and put a pin on type trunk lid,have another buddy that has a 73 challenger parts car will the hinges and rods and rod brackets(mount on wheel wells)are they the same for cudas and challengers?

The torsion rods are different. Not sure about the rest.

look close to the supports that mount to the wheel well and the above sail pan.

they are different with the slots.

one type has two rods, the other has one.

The first pic shows more adjustment slots ( came from a 71 cuda )
two 1/4" rods are used.

The second pic shows no adjustment slots
one much thicker 3/8" rod is used.

both may have the same length with the 'L' bends.

I am not sure if this is the same for all E body's -
or if they are correct for each year?

Whiteboy your 71 Cuda must be an early car as most 71's only have one rod.
Challenger rods are a little longer than Cuda. Believe the hinge brackets are different Challenger and Cuda also.

I did have at one time a longer trunk rod, had one heck of a time trying to get that thing in..... which would not go in my cuda.

so he needs to find a 70 barracuda to get the right ones.
