when installing my new torsion bars, does it matter which end goes into the control arm or rear mount. the bars are mare marked 781 and 780. and are marked L and R, but one end has a 3 digit number and the other some letters, along with the 780 and 781, didnt know if it matters which end goes forward? , but just wanna make sure
Thanks
Duane

Direction does not matter but the side does. That's why the are marked. How sure are you about this? I don't know myself, but it seems like you will be twisting the torsion bars in the opposite direction (clockwise/counterclockwise) and if they're used bars, I would be afraid that twisting them the opposite direction after 40 years might break one
