To remove the torsion bar the FSM for my 65 Satellite says to remove the lock ring and plug. On my 67 there was just the lock ring. Does the plug pop out when you drive the T bar out or should it come out before I put the tool on the bar to knock it back? Thanks

I've read that in some FSMs but have never found a plug.
