Gonna be

11 to 1 comrpession
Ported magnum heads 2.02 valves should flow 250 easy
M1 single plane
1 3/4 headers dual 3 inch ex with X pipe and magnaflows
410 inches
Big gulp throttle body
44RE trans factory high stall converter
4.56 gears for now probably go back to the 3.92s
.035 quench
Needs to work with the factory EFI in my 99 dakota R/T, I do have an SCT tuner
Don't need power brakes but got to have enough vaccum for the climate control stuff
Don't want to ever turn past 6000 RPM even 5500 is better
Daily driver 9 months of the year
Prefer not to have a rough/bucking idle but a little noticable is OK.
I am thinking hydraulic roller would make me happiest.
Needs to run on 93 octane with no bandaids like water injection.
I will be running a return to keep the fuel cooler and a good cold air intake set up.

Just wondering what all the gurus say.

I have no experience w/ combinations like that, but did see that Hughes Engines provides a variety of build guidelines for each of its SB hydraulic rollers listed on their web site that might help w/ your decision.

I have 1.6 and 1.7 mopar roller rockers
Yes LU.
Cruise most of the time just a little over 2000 and want power instantly when I tip into it. I love good throttle response and TQ. Out on the highway it's a little over 2500.

I would prefer to use the 1.7 rockers, they are brand new.

What lift will your valve springs support?

The ones I have now I ran at .575 but don't remember what they were capable of. That is probably a good lift to stay under as the flow probably don't go up after that. Also hard to get much more lift in the magnum head without longer valves.

So, it looks like the choices get narrowed down pretty quickly in this type of combo.
Since you'll be using 1.7 rockers and want to use it as a semi daily driver I would keep the ramps pretty soft. I'd be looking at low 220's @ .050, maybe 4-6deg split(maybe more depending on the whole exhaust system), 110-112 lsa.
With the short duration and slower ramps you'd easily be less than .575 lift.

Thanks... I just gave a friend almost that exact cam, 221@.050 110 LSA single pattern that cam in a hair under .575 with the 1.7s.

The whole exhaust system is awesome, 3 inch mandrel bent, full length ceramic coated headers, all aluminized... the guy I got it from owns an exhaust shop and hand built it for his own 99 R/T dakota. I traded for it when he put his back to stock.

Would that cam make enough vacuum for the MAP sensor and accessories?

It would certainly work with aftermarket efi, but I don't know how much adjustment is "built in" to the OE unit.
My guess is, it's probably pushing the limits. If you were looking for something "safer", knock 5-6deg out of it and maybe spread it out a degree or two.
