Can I tell if the pitman arm diameter is 1.004" or 1.1" by the VIN or anything other than taking it off? Rock auto has two sizes for the MOOG part.

Never mind. The K-7076 is for power steering cars and the K-7075 is for manual steering cars. You would think that info would be on Rock Auto.

Hmmm Strut rod bushings for a 1974 Satellite. All listing seem to stop at 10/18/73. What if my car is made after that?

Do ya buy the "improved performance" taxi and cop car strut rods? Or are they a different diameter?

I like the improved design. I've seen the standard ones tear the rubber bushing. IIRC the improved design has a metal sleeve thru the middle of it.

Is'nt the "improved design" installing the cups opposite from what the factory pieces were ??? That's the deciding factor for some people..

They made a production change in the size of the strut rod bushings on 10/18/73. I found this out when I ordered poly strut bushings for my car and they didn't fit. O'Reilly's book listed pre 10/18/73 and post so I ordered both from them and found out the difference.

IMGTX I cannot find ANY listing, even from MOOG directly, for bushings after that date.

When I got one from O'Reilly's it was moog. When I get home I will see if I have the box still but it was a few years ago.

Oreilly's and Napa now sell a Rare Parts Bushing Kit Part RPC15704.

You may also look for a TRW HB1144K kit, I am not absolutely sure of that one though.

Basically a 75/76 Charger uses the same bushing and probably some other make/model/years too.

I hope that helps.
