Does anyone have a source for the clips that are welded to the rear axle housing that retain the rear axle brake lines?

Just cut some rectangles from 0.032" steel sheet. You might be okay bending ordinary quality (normal hardness) sheet one or a few times after installation.

Junked appliances are often made of 0.032 sheet, but it will be a few thousandths thicker with paint on it.

But if you want the steel clips to be really soft like the originals, you'll need to anneal them by very slow cooling from red hot. This is usually done by adding a lot of mass to the clips with sand in a steel box so that the box of sand and clips cools slowly from red hot using a furnace.

You might be able to do a slow cool with just a handheld propane torch if you work at it by slowly decreasing the heat over a fairly long period of time like 1 hour or so.

Google how to anneal steel sheet.

That same kind of clip is used on a couple spots on the firewall I believe. You may be able to find that more easily in a salvage yard or with someone parting out a car.
