I put a 318 in my original 6 cylinder 70 challenger and the engine is not directly in the middle of the engine compartment? I did the K frame and correct motor mounts. Is this normal?

It will be offset about an inch to the passenger side.

The offset is for steering column / box clearance.

It is not as noticeable with a /6, but they are offset as well.
