Most FWD vehicles only pull one wheel. Which is why some also have traction control. Although there are a few vehicles (like some SRT-4s) that do have differential units that pull both wheels when under load.

Open differentials.
They both have traction control that will pop the brake caliper on the spinning wheel to push torque to the wheel with better traction.
