Does a front wheel drive car like my 2013 Dart or my wife's 2015 Jeep Renegade have posi or single track?

Most FWD vehicles only pull one wheel. Which is why some also have traction control. Although there are a few vehicles (like some SRT-4s) that do have differential units that pull both wheels when under load.

They do make limited slip diffs for FWD's. VERY FEW come with them from the factory.

Open differentials.

They both have traction control that will pop the brake caliper on the spinning wheel to push torque to the wheel with better traction.

and with a semi locked [or locked] FWD diff, you will plow [not be able to turn corners very well/push] in less than optimal conditions. think rain or snow.

mechanical "posi" pretty much dead and gone. Creates drag which effects mpg.
