Can anybody please explain the differences physically or functionally between the V2 and RV2 A/C compressors?

I've been told that the difference in functionality is the piston displacement, the V2 compressor has 9.45 cubic inch displacemen while the RV2 has 10.5 cubic inch displacement. If that's true, the difference has to be the piston diameter because the V2 and RV2 both have the same crankshaft P/N.
