I just bought a 95 dakota to make my race project
Wanting to see what people are running for suspension and if they did anything for frame stiffness or boxed the frame in.

The 95 frame is factory boxed past the trans crossmember Past the boxing, the C channel has 1" lips on both the top and bottom parts, and the C is slid into the boxed section a few inches and welded all around. As long as its not rusty, I don't see an issue with it twisting. It has rear leaf springs and would benefit from leaf spring improvements like any of the older Mopars. Gene

Thanks for the info. I will be taking the bed off this weekend to see what is all there. It has some different leaf spring perches on it
