I have several old mopar distr. alternators and starters is there anyone who buys these items to rebuild

What I'd do is list the date codes as someone doing a numbers resto might need one of em


live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Yes.

But keep in mind they become worthless for restoration if they're a sandblasted rebuild. Rebuilders who took in cores typically blasted them as a step in remanufacturing.

Lots of Mopar owners (like me, duh) gave up their originals to buy rebuilds. My original alternator, distributor, and starter are all long gone.

At big shows like Carlisle there will be sellers with these units because there will be customers seeking certain date codes, unblasted, that is.

I kept a lot of that stuff around for years. After carting it to swap meets for about 5 years and never selling much of anything it all went out to scrap last summer. There is always the chance you have something worth money but the vendor's I've dealt with don't want to pay anything for them. twocents

Contact Jim Ridge at 803-924-6247. He can tell you what part numbers and date codes are desirable and pays top dollar for restorable units.

I always look for good date codes at Mopar fleemarkets.Lately the good dates(69-71) are geting hard to find.
