So I got my Cummins Ram back running again after installing a new TIPM (fusebox) and it fixed a few things but now new problems have cropped up. The radio no longer works, it was intermittent before the fuse box swap, and now the air bag light is on. The trans still does it's thing, when you start the truck and put it in gear it works fine and goes through the gears, but when you stop is basically free wheels, no forward or rearward progress can be made until you turn the truck off, wait 5 seconds, then start it up and it will do the exact same thing, at least it is repeatable. eyes Can there be a sensor in the trans, or maybe even something on the engine like the throttle position sensor that can be causing this issue? I have been all over the internet searching for answers with none found! shruggy

You are loosing communication somewhere from the controller to the trans. My guess is you have something in the trans. going on. And because it's you I'd say the trans. HA HA couldn't resist. I do believe it's in the trans. or controller or wiring between. I'd get it too a electrical shop asap.

Was the TIPM installed at the dealer and was it a new one or used unit.

I bought a new unit from the Dodge dealer and installed it myself. I sold the truck today, so on to screwing-up the trans in my new 2015 Ram... runaway

Well, no worries then but I think they need to have the VIN inputted to them otherwise the other modules won't talk to it as they don't recognize it.

You are probably right, but at that point I was pretty well done with the truck, it will live out it's useful life as a snow plow now... frown
