What truck? I have a '76 D100 with a 400 and tall DC valve covers with miles of clearance.
Depends on the booster though, if you have the smaller one it will be no problem but the larger ones from the heavier duty models may be close.

It will fit. Again, just make sure you get the correct booster as there are a few different variations for different applications.
I actually went through this not three days ago. I am re-doing the brakes on my own truck. I had an aluminum master on the shelf I wanted to use so I ordered a '2 bolt' master off Rock Auto for a '76 D100. Turns out there is a heavy duty version for the 300-up trucks. It has a different bolt pattern, the master would not bolt up without ovaling out the mounting holes. The unit is way bigger too and makes the master stick out much farther. There likely would have been interference with stuff if I tried to use it. I returned it and got a 2 bolt MC from a '79 D100. Have not got it yet but it looks closer to what I have.
I believe '79 is the first year for the 2 bolt aluminum master cylinder if that's what you are looking for.
