.... in this glo-bull warming climate of nw lower MI ... 28 below last nite ...I need to replace a Century charger that is negative function.

What brands and models have you guys had good luck with ?

I looked at one .. the Schumacher microprocessor 15 amp one ... is compact and very light-weight.

I bought mine at Wal-Mart about 4 years ago for around 40 bucks and it has been a great charger.

Schumacher here also from sams.90.00.Has alot a settings,why go smaller????

I have a nice Sears Die Hard battery charger w/ 2amp/12amp/start featues w/ auto charge/deep cycle/manuel charge functions. Been a nice charger. I love Sears

I got the 40A/20A/10A/4A Black and Decker one from Wal-Mart. It is medium size microprocessor controlled charger and uses a built in fan to keep the electronics cool, but my fan is sort of noisy. It does have some neat features like battery reconditioning, built in voltmeter, etc.
I think it was around $80-$90?

Mine is a Sears also.Has 2 40 and 200 amp.Its probally 20 years old.Neber a problem.I also have a battery tender.For a real slow charge and to keep a battery charged during Ohios winters they cant be beat.I also have an old antique small charger thats at least 40 year old.Dont know what brand but its only like a 10 amp charger.Rocky
