I have a 76 D100 currently 360/727 auto truck that I'm thinking of dropping a '93 5.2 Magnum into. Wish to use the stock Magnum exhaust manifolds. Anyone do this swap? Any clearance issues with the kick-down linkage or the shifter shaft linkage? Thanks for any feedback from your experiences.

IIRC, linkage/starter issues. or maybe that was dak manifolds in the D-chassis?

93 chassis had the magnum engines so you may need the manifolds and y-pipe

I put a 93 NV4500 5 speed off a magnum 5.9 on/in my LA 318 85 stepside chassis by turning the trans mount 180* and some trimming on the cross member.

the hedman 79080 81-89 2x chassis headers had to be change due to #7 tube in the way of the 93 hydro bell-mini starter.

the hedman 79170 72-93 2x & 4x4 header fit the NV4500 hydro bell and LA bell and LA-727 auto.

I would run the stock center dump LA manifolds on the magnum engine in the 76 chassis or the hedman 79170 long tube headers.

my set was 178$ free shipping on ebag

what trans are you using in the swap?

don't forget external or internal balance or maybe a mag to LA conversion flywheel for TC hook up for auto

The magnum manifolds work. I would use them as they flow better the the center dumps. Get a internal balance converter for the 727 or take the weight off the 360 converter. Your stock kick down will work assuming you are buying a magnum intake manifold. Lokar makes a nice kick down cable kit that works well and does away with the linkage.

A couple more things. The passenger side manifold should have an egr tube attached to it. You can take it off and make a block off plate.

You will also have to run an electric fuel pump with the magnum. There is no provisions for a mechanical pump unless you swap out the timing cover from the older engine. I am not sure if you can bolt on the fuel pump accentric to the magnum cam. I was thinking hughes engines had an adapter. Not really sure though on that. It might just bolt on.

No issues
I use a Bouchillion throttle cable bracket & kickdown cable kit

Using the Pro Products Crosswinds intake with the LA front & Hughes cam snout extension is the cheapest way to go for the 79 & down
That's the way I've done a bunch so far

I went with the Edelbrock on my latest swap so I could use all original Mopar made parts for my A/C
Here's the Crosswinds

The Lokar is a nice looking piece but lacks exactness for the application, This provides that exactness & is built using mostly all Mopar parts right down to the kickdown lever on the trans
Here's the Bouchillion I can even hook up my cruise

Manifolds clear except you will need the 518 trans dipstick & tube to use them

Here's the Magnum in my 85 ShortBed Magnum swap #14

That is sweet!!!

The only thing that I can see you still need is a fan shroud. Or maybe you could use a set of electric fans and a shroud kit and gain some power after all you have the late alternator so you have the available amps.

Nice job.

Thanks all. I do have a Trade Winds intake, and the Hughes cam snout extension which I plan to use, as well as plug the manifolds EGR tube. I have a neutral balance converter also. Appreicate the feedback and pics. I was looking at the Lokar but think it will be the Bouchillion piece after seeing this. At first thought about a manual valve body, but the wife likes to drive everything we own also so that might have been interesting, in not a good way... I like the idea of keeping the serpentine belt setup. Appreciate the help!!

I have electric fans for it from a 300M

The serpentine setup requires using the Edelbrock & doing it that way adds to the cost & work involved. It's the only one that's made to fit the Magnum front + serpentine together Even then there are a few things that you have to do for it all to fit & work
Spacers need to be made & moving the heater fitting to the other side
You have to drill & tap it for 3/8 NPT for the fitting

The Crosswinds is a direct fit for for all center thermostat or RV2 A/C comperssor applications

there's two spacers that need to be made for the braces on the A/C & alternator

You can use a alternator bracket setup from a 91 with a Denso & still use original application belts

There's 4 or 5 IIRC different levers made for the kickdown/throttle pressure by Chrysler & using the Lokar is not always a exact thing
The Bouchillion kit comes with the correct lever & with it's adapter for the throttle it has spot on ratio
The adapter also has the hole for the cruise linkage
Looks like the kit is made up of mostly original Mopar parts
The adapter & cable bracket in the pic appears to be the only non Mopar parts
Bouchillion's Throttle cable bracket fits every application possible & is super adjustable
