How many 440 4 speed and 440 auto cars where built in the 68 model year?

According to the GTX registry, there were 17,914 total hardtops built, of those 414 were hemi powered. So that leaves about 17,500 with 440's. I wouldn't cast these numbers in stone but they should be close. Dave

I am not really sure why the trans numbers are undetermined, given you have a total in some cases of one type of transmission... these are just the numbers and breakdowns out of Galens book... The math seems easy, but the total numbers may only be a ballpark and not 100% accurate... Hope this info helps....
