Stumbled into a possible deal for a 2wd ram 1500 with a non-running hemi/auto. Would this be a good truck for doing a hemi swap on my valiant? Surfing thru hemi swap info on the web has my head spinning so i figured i'd ask the people that have actually done the swap. I'd like to run the trans as well till i can save up for a manual down the road. Possible or keep looking?

The block, heads and front cover would be good for turbo build IMO but the rest is just a PITA to make work IMO.

Mopar to the bone!!!

Most guys prefer the car front cover and intake vs the truck intake, front cover, and accessories.

If it's cheap enough that you're pretty much paying for the block, then do it. I bought a spun bearing truck motor early on for $300 or so; sold everything but the long block, and bought the car front cover and accessories from a junkyard. Just know the market is small for the truck specific stuff.

I have zero input on the trans. Other than I'd encourage you to swap to a manual now if you're going to in the future.
