What would cause the front rotors to lock tight on the rotor? The master cylinder had pressure in it when I removed the lid. When it cools down I will release the banjo bolts to see if the calipers are stuck. I could see one being stiff but not both of the fronts being stuck.

The ABS light is not on I've never dealt with an ABS system before. help

Sounds to me like the master cylinder has an issue, or possibly the front brake hoses have a problem, but it would be unusual for both front brake hoses to crap out at the exact time.
Has anything been done to the brake system recently, like new brake pads or anything? Gene

New pads in old calipers is bad news. Replace or rebuild the calipers and look at the brake hoses. When you push the piston back into the caliper, it squeezes all the gunk that has built up behind the piston, as the pads wear, into a confined place and tends to bind up the caliper piston.

Sometimes you can get away with pushing the caliper piston back in one time, but sometimes that doesn't even work. A second time nearly always ends with stuck pistons. I wouldn't be surprised if you will need new caliper pistons and new hardware kits as well as the rebuild kit. Rebuilt calipers are usually pretty cheap and come with those things included. If your 99 still has original front brake hoses, I think I would replace them, now, as well. You will have to bleed the brakes anyway. Gene

Releasing the bajno or just cracking the bleeder sounds like a good diagnostic. If that releases it, it is either hoses or master. If not, calipers are stuck.

I know on my/my daughters 98 Neon, the brake dragging hard on one side was caused by an internally collapsed hose which held pressure. New hoses fixed it. I did them all. Also, same car, a soft sinking pedal was caused by a bad master.

Agree once you figure it out, replacing all rubber hoses is a good idea even if that is not the immediate problem.

Typical in these trucks. Rubber hose deteriorates from inside out. Gunk fills caliper, caliper seizes. Replace calipers and hoses and it fixes the issue most of the time.
