Mostly stock / restoration of a 1971 challenger 340 .
car will have stock compression, with MAYBE a mild gasket match on the stock heads and stock iron intake with a new Edelbrock AVS carb
Plan is to have 255-60-15 rear tires.more than likely 3.55 rear gears and stock exhaust, manifolds and all
What would be a good cam and torque conv combination

Bill,

for what it's worth, I'm pretty happy with the cam I got from Hughes Engines for my 440. It's basically stock also. I'd call them and see what they recommend.

Good luck !
Randy

If you dont mind spending about fifty dollars more than an off the shelf cam, I can get you a cam that I am convinced you will be pleased with.

I have gone high twelves in an otherwise stock (except mild pocket port) 71 340 duster with 3:55 gears.

PM me if interested.

Hi Bill, I would look at the Vodoo line from Lunati, i have the 220/226 @.050 475/494 lift 112cl in my RR, has lots of low to mid range and also has plenty of vacuum 17" for my power brakes. Mike
