I am in need of a L.H. fender to nose seal for a 69 Daytona, I was told the 70 Charger fender to bumper seal was the same anyone know if this is true. I bought a repo set but they look bad and from my research so far no one makes one correct.

I have a pretty decent set of 70 Charger fender to bumper seals. Not perfect but very useable. PM me if you are interested. Joe

Daytona nose seals are Daytona only, I no longer offer my line of reproduction nose seals so the seals from Dale's Cuda.com is your only choice left, they have been retooled, the first run was indeed horrible, but unfortunately many vendors are still selling them to rid themselves of old inventory

Daytona nose seals were a version of the 70 Charger seals. If you look close at a Daytona seal you can see where a complete 70 Charger seal and a piece of another 70 Charger seal were joined together to create the seal. We experimented with this a few years ago on how to create a NOS set out of 70 Charger seals. The problem is how to join the two rubber pieces together. That's where we got hung up. I think they could be made if you can overcome this problem. The metal structure on the backside is the same as the 70. However you would need a pair of 70 seals for each Daytona seal which are not easy to find in good condition in this day and age.

I have the ones from Dales on the way, I will have to see what I get, My r.h. seal is fine ,the L.H. seal is good , but is missing the last three inches, I have friend that said he has some old 70 charger seals not sure the shape, So I might be able to save them if I could find a way of mating the two seals together, I will do some R&D and see what I can come up with. Right now I am working with a deadline to get the car done in time to make it wing car show in Alabama on October 24th
